Financial details were not disclosed for the new contract extension, but a source close to the venue said it is for an amount similar to that in the 2010 contract. The 2010 deal saw the San Pasqual Casino Development Group Inc., which is owned by the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, pay approximately $1.5 million to AEG for naming rights to the sprawling San Diego venue. The new agreement, announced Tuesday, means the name Valley View Casino Center will remain intact until at least the end of 2018, with an option to extend.
Valley View Casino & Hotel and AEG have extended the naming rights agreement that led to the San Diego Sports Arena becoming Valley View Casino Center in 2010.
